Membership application: University of Eastern Finland Doctoral Student Association

University of Eastern Finland Doctoral Student Association - UEF DSA (Itä-Suomen yliopiston jatko-opiskelijoiden yhdistys - UEF DSA ry) is a registered association in Finland.

Purpose: The purpose of the Association is to act as a link between the University of Eastern Finland (UEF) doctoral students, between the doctoral students and UEF, and between the doctoral students and all those who are interested in doing doctoral studies at UEF; and to lobby for the interests of UEF doctoral students, to represent UEF doctoral students, and to promote their societal efforts and extracurricular activities.

Any UEF doctoral student may be accepted as a full member in the association. A person is considered a UEF doctoral student if (s)he holds a right to study towards a scientific postgraduate degree, as defined in Finnish legislation and supporting decrees, in UEF. For example a screenshot from WebOodi showing your study right is sufficient. NOTICE! Acceptance letter does not prove this. You must provide evidence that you have actually started your studies (e.g. you are present for Autumn 202X.) A private person who is not eligible for full membership may be accepted as an associate member. A private person or a legal entity who wants to support the purpose and activities of the association can be accepted as a supporting member. Full members, associate members and supporting members are accepted by the executive committee based on application. Only full members have voting rights in the annual meetings and the additional general meetings of the association.

The joining fee is 10 euros.
